Description
This lovely piece of turquoise is set on a heavy gauge sterling silver disc that is about 1.25″ across. The silver has been oxidized to better highlight the turquoise and the gold accents (Keum Boo process of applying very fine 23k gold to silver metal).
(Keum Boo is an ancient Korean process of applying gold to metal using heat and friction.)
I make all aspects of this piece myself. I purchase the rough turquoise material and cut, shape and polish it. My silver and gold metals are purchase flat and managed to fit the piece as I have designed it.
