This Fuchsite with Ruby stone looks so much like a Claude Monet painting that I had to frame it! This is a larger, focal piece. The bail is concealed on the backside of the pendant. Sterling silver with a dark patina. Spectacular.
I procure stone and rock and cut, shape, and polish it myself. All of my pieces are made by me. The metal is either flat sheet and/or round or square wire. I have designed, engineered and made what you see using tools by hand. My pieces are one of a kind and cannot generally not be duplicated. I can make usually make similar pieces or I can work with you on a commission.
Fuchsite is a chrome based mica. Ruby is a variety of corundum. This combination of stones was only (relatively) discovered and is only found in southern India. Fuchsite with ruby is generally associated with the heart chakra.
Please take care with gem stones. They can be broken with force. They can be washed gently with “dawn” dish soap and warm water using a very soft bristly brush or cloth. They should be dried thoroughly. Sterling silver may be cleaned/polished with any number of available commercial products.
