Moroccan Flame or Seam Agate is one of my favorite stones to work with. This pendant is prong set on Sterling Silver and polished to a fine sheen. The stone is 22.120 carats and has some awesome robin’s egg blue in the detail. The finished pieces measure approximately 32x20mm with the bail concealed on the backside.
This Flame Agate, or Seam Agate is from Morocco. I am friends with the gentleman who I purchased the rocks from. This provenance is meaningful to me. I have been to Morocco, to the town of Alnif where my friend is from. He, in turn, also travels to Tucson most years for the big Fossil, Gem, and Mineral Show. We spend time with him there. He has dined with my family on a number of occasions as have we with his family while we were in Morocco.
Flame Agate has a calming and soft energy that lifts communication skills and boosts personal vibrations. It can also aid you in accessing your spiritual thoughts and emotions.
I get my stone materials and cut, shape and polish them myself. I procure the gold or silver metal flat or as rolled wire or tubes and use it to shape and create my designs.
Hand-crafted art/jewelry are one-of-a-kind pieces and generally are not duplicated exactly. Stones vary, measurements vary. I can collaborate with you if you would like to have a piece made for you or for someone else. Sterling silver may be polished with any number of good silver cleaner/polish products. Natural stones are fragile and may break if dropped, heated directly, stepped on, etc. Care should be taken.
