Description
This highly polished and nicely colored piece of Gem Dinosaur Bone Agate is set on a hollow form, or pillow of sterling silver. I constructed a box made of sterling silver and then set the agate in a setting mounted on this box. It is just beautiful. The silver of the hollow form has a textured top and the entire piece has been given a light patina to add to the dimensionality of it. It measures approximately 28x28x15mm
I’ve made all aspects of this piece myself. I purchase the rough agate material and cut, shape and polish it. My silver and gold metals are purchase flat and managed to fit the piece as I have designed it.
Hand-crafted art/jewelry are one-of-a-kind pieces and generally are not duplicated exactly. Stones vary, measurements vary. I can collaborate with you if you would like to have a piece made for you or for someone else. Sterling silver may be polished with any number of good silver cleaner/polish products. Natural stones are fragile and may break if dropped, heated directly, stepped on, etc. Care should be taken.
