St. Croix is a vibrant, community oriented, friendly island. It is rich in history. Artists of all types call here home.
There are events year round. Read the local paper (the AVIS) and scan for local events and happenings. Not to be missed are
the "Jump Ups" - which are street fairs that take over downtown Christiansted for an evening with MocoJumbies on parade. A points of
interest:
Mango Melee - an annual treat at the Botanical Gardens. This fair has focus on the Mango and all
it's different types. But all sorts of local fruits are displayed. There is usually food and
plenty of local crafts for sale as well. The grounds of the Botanical Gardens are lovely.
